What Are Industrial Jobs?

Industrial is a broad term that covers a wide range of industries in the manufacturing space. When you think of someone working in a factory or a warehouse, most of the jobs that come to mind are industrial jobs. These include:

  • Machining
  • Pipe-fitting
  • Maintenance
  • Assembly
  • Packaging
  • Material Handling

Do Industrial Jobs Require Experience?

There are some jobs that require experience and some that do not - however, industrial jobs typically have a lower requirement for experience and education than other manufacturing or engineering positions.

Generally speaking, most entry-level and/or temp jobs will not require experience. Experience is a “nice to have” to get a leg up over other applicants, but if you are applying for temp industrial jobs for the first time there are many that don’t require experience.
